Experience you can trust for your entire family…

There is a moment of clarity, when a person realizes the power they have to control their own life. Thoughts, feelings and beliefs can manifest themselves as either destructive or healing behaviors. Whether the problem is due to a biologically based illness or events in one’s life, no one needs to continue to be the victim. I help each of my patients to become actively involved in their own health and recovery.

Understanding to help you heal

No matter how out of balance a person feels, I believe that he or she has an inner capacity to move toward health and wholeness. I see my work as becoming a partner in helping them discover the tools needed to reach their own concept of health. That is why I take the time to perform an accurate and thorough clinical diagnosis. With this information, I can truly get to the root of a patient’s problem and develop a treatment plan that brings about a positive change and improved mental health.

Connecting with every patient

My patients have always taught me critical lessons about the challenges of living with mental illness. Even more important, they taught me one very valuable lesson that I continue to hold in the highest esteem today: My role as a psychiatrist is to not only alleviate the symptoms of mental illness, but o also help individuals redefine themselves. Through proper treatment, I am able to help my patients make lasting changes in their sense of self, their relationships, and their lives.

Remaining at the top of her field

I believe that to work successfully with my patients, I must be knowledgeable of the changing issues they face in their lives, the limitations they have encountered based on their history, and do my best to understand life from their perspective. My work requires not only a solid understanding of the developmental and mental-health issues, it also requires rigorous and ongoing interaction with my peers to stay abreast of the latest breakthroughs.
